Position Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our innovative teaching staff. This is an opportunity to join a school where the focus is on working with every student to reach their very finest potential in all aspects of their development.

Selection Criteria:

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and innovative educators with the following attributes:

  • A sound understanding of and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school
  • A sound knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS) 
    Excellent planning and implementation of teaching programs..
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents
    Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments
  • An excellent understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students
  • The capacity and willingness to be a proactive member of a professional learning community


Qualification/s Required:

  • Relevant 4 year ECE tertiary qualification
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education.

 

Teachers

 

Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from www.trb.wa.gov.au.

 

Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.

 

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer. A current Federal Police Clearance/100 Point Identification Check must also be included. The appropriate Criminal History Record Check form is available from the Department of Education and Training website (www.education.wa.edu.au). In the case of teachers, a current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration number shall be provided in lieu, as ongoing registration requires a current Police Clearance.

 

On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State.
