On Wednesday 25 July OLA hosted a morning tea to celebrate the special relationship between children and their Grandparents. Many Grandparents enjoyed this wonderful event, attending a special mass in their honour, followed by morning tea and a chance to visit the students' classrooms to view their work.

When students return to school in Week 1, OLA will be celebrating NAIDOC Week with the theme Because of her, we can, which will focus on the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make - to our communities, our families, our rich history and to our nation.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the boys and girls who turned up to sing at first Holy Communion mass. Their efforts and beautiful singing really enhanced the ceremonies. A special word of thanks is due to Tiana L. and Emily C., as these girls came and sang so well at both Confirmation ceremonies AND both Communion ceremonies. Well done, Tiana and Emily!

On Tuesday 19 June Mrs Meyerkort and Mrs Barclay took our lively Year Twos and several wonderful volunteer parents to AQWA in Hillarys Marina, to consolidate their learning about ocean creatures this term.
