OLA, OLA, how does your garden grow?
We have all been very pleased with the growth of our six large, raised garden beds between the Library and the Father O’Mara Centre. It was very exciting to plant at the end of Term Two and now to see the plants shooting up already! The view from the footpath along Grand Promenade is very appealing to people passing by. Several people have made positive comments to the students and teachers. Our grounds person, Mr Franco Arace has laid weed netting this week, and will be placing mulch around the beds as well. We look forward to crops of: rainbow carrots, peas, broccoli, silver beet, rainbow chard, lettuce and broad beans (they are really thriving!!). Next term we should see some potatoes as well.
