Leadership Message – Issue Twenty One
Nov 25, 2020
Advent Prayer
In this Advent of expectation draw us together in unity,
that our praise and worship might echo in these walls and also through our lives.
In this Advent of expectation draw us together in mission,
that the hope within might be the song we sing, and the melody of our lives.
In this Advent of expectation draw us together in service,
that the path we follow might lead us from a stable to a glimpse of eternity.
Amen

2021 Staffing
The 2021 staffing list was sent to all families, via SMS, last week. Attached to this newsletter is the staffing sheet.
End of Year Concert
As communicated to all families in the Week 3 newsletter, I am happy to advise you all the OLA ‘End of Year Concert’ will proceed as scheduled.
Due to the Phase 4 restrictions that will be in place, only immediate family members (a maximum of 4 immediate family members, excluding the enrolled OLA students) will be permitted to attend the event. We ask for your cooperation with the above.
We have decided to film the event and upload it to a secure location so all families can view the event. A secure link will be sent to all families the following week. The children are very excited about the concert.
Grandparents’, Mothers’ and Volunteers’ Morning Tea
The Grandparents’, Mothers’ and Volunteers’ Morning Tea will proceed as scheduled on Wednesday 2 December, commencing at 9.30am, in the Fr. O’Mara Centre. For catering purposes, please advise your eldest child’s classroom teacher if you will be attending.
Class Lists and Requests
2021 class lists will be displayed outside the Curiosity Lab and the Library by Monday 7 December. As mentioned previously (Week 3 Newsletter), it is becoming too difficult to allocate students as per parents’ requests, however, if you have a valid reason as to why your child needs to be placed in a specific class, please make contact, via an email, with your child’s teacher and specify the valid reason(s). I won’t be making any promises, however, we will consider your requests. Please submit your request(s) by Friday 4 December at the latest.
Transition Sessions
2021 Transitions sessions will proceed as planned on Monday 7 December and Tuesday 8 December, from 9.00am – 9.40am. The sessions will give the students the opportunity to meet their 2021 teachers before the commencement of the new school year.
Graduation Information
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2021 Year 6 Graduation Mass will be proceeding as scheduled, on the school oval, on Thursday 3 December. The Year 6 Graduation Dinner will be celebrated on Monday 7 December, outside the Sr Goretti Hall. We’re all looking forward to saying farewell, in style, to our wonderful Year 6 Graduands.
2021 Booklists
Pre-Primary – Year 6 booklists will be distributed to all families next week.
