OLA School Disco
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! As always, the school disco was the highlight of the year for the kids! This year, our Year 5 classes came up with the theme of Movie and TV Characters and the Sr. Goretti Hall was filled with stars, dancing to their favourite songs, as well as some classics from the 80s and 90s.
We are pleased to announce that the disco raised almost $3000 for the P&F. This money will contribute to the refurbishment of the Curiosity Lab (the Science room), and we can’t wait to see just how it helps!
As is the new tradition, starting last year, the Year 5 Parents take on the responsibility of coordinating the disco, with support from the P&F Executive. This year’s Committee did a fantastic job, so we say an enormous thank you to Fiona Monteleone, Mel Fisher, Jade Pacecca, Teresa Musca, Brooke Casella, Karen Lione, Vicki Stoiche, Kate Bonanno and Narelle Roberts.
Thanks also to the wonderful parents (and ex-students) who stepped up to volunteer on the night: Cath and Jasmine McGrath, Emily Casella, Lissete Coronal, Emma Thompson, Maria Romeo, Krystie Multari, Nicola Carbone, Amanda Cipriani, Lina Brunini, Gina Bastian, Lisa Bolton, Luciana Di Ienno, Amanda Reid, Monique Van Wyk, Magda Bartucciotto, C. Needham, Allison Chia, Elishia Heaford, Marina M, Sharon S, Antonia Lehmann, Jo Di Dio, Carly Wood, Melissa King, Melissa Bosio, Tina Del Paggio, Flora Ko, Josie Macri, Stephen McCubbin, Steve Fisher and Mike Dunn. Thank you also to the people who jumped into position on the night to help out wherever help was needed – including the clean up! It was a true community effort!
And finally, a huge thank you to our resident DJ, Shaun Lacey, owner of Perth Party Entertainment for generously donating his time on the evening!
