Junior Swimming Carnival

Our Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 students had a fantastic Junior Swim Carnival on Thursday 11 March. With the theme of, ‘having a go’ and ‘having as much fun as possible’, the students came with a great attitude to get into the water and give their best effort. We played a range of different games, races and even went through an obstacle course! All students should be proud of their efforts and the way they approached the afternoon. Well done to all!

Senior Swimming Carnival

Friday 12 March marked the day for our OLA Senior Swimming Carnival for 2021. We had a fantastic turnout from the students who were eager to jump into the pool and also the parents who were fantastic in cheering on the students and helping out throughout the day.

There was a lot of cheering, support and compassion across the day which was amazing to see and all students are to be commended for their efforts and approach to the carnival. A further congratulations to all of our Champion and Runner Up Champion girls and boys for their individual accomplishments in their respective races.

The winner of our Endeavour Award for the OLA Senior Swimming Carnival for 2021 was Veritas. This award goes to the faction who displays the most encouragement and support to their peers, and also shows respect to their opponents and the venue by keeping their bay tidy. Congratulations, Veritas. The Faction Champions for 2021 were O’Mara. Led by Faction Captains Ruby and Taj King, O’Mara fought hard all day and were dominant in the pool, congratulations!
