A Prayer for the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Most Sacred, most loving Heart of Jesus,
You are concealed in the Holy Eucharist,
And You beat for us still.
O make my heart beat with Your Heart!
May Your Will be the guide and rule of my actions.
.
Amen

Enterprise and Innovation
As part of the Enterprise and Innovation projects at OLA, Chess Club and Lego Club will commence in Term 3. We are currently promoting Milo Mondays and Pots and Pyjamas Day in support of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Please refer to the Enterprise and Innovation section of the newsletter for more information.
Student Absences, Sickness and Medications
With the weather changing, illness is more prevalent in the school community. We ask that you please keep your child home if they are unwell. If your child is absent from school, written documentation is required. This can be via email or a written note.
If students require medication throughout the day, written documentation needs to be provided by the parent/caregiver to authorise the school to administer medication to your child. Forms are located at the office and attached below. All medication and forms should be dropped to the school office each day.

Cross Country
Thank you to Mrs Stewart, the OLA staff and parent volunteers who coordinated our two Cross Country events. All of the students did a terrific job completing the course, demonstrating our RICE Values. Well done!
Congratulations Chloe
Congratulations to Chloe from Year 6 who has been selected to represent Western Australia in the 2019 Under 12’s State Netball Competition, to be held in Canberra in September.
Chloe currently plays Goal Attack (GA), for Hamersley Netball Club, part of the Wanneroo District Netball Association. She recently represented Wanneroo Districts against the best Western Australian Division 1 teams participating in the Fuel To Go And Play Association Netball Championship. She is looking forward to the challenge the U12 State School Netball Competition will provide. Best of luck, Chloe!
Uniform Update
The OLA School Board is now moving ahead with designs for the new OLA uniforms. Over the coming months, designs will be drafted, and samples made so that the Board can review the design, quality and cost of the items. The aim is to create modern uniforms that embrace the new style of the school that has come about from the introduction of the new crest. As more information becomes available, we will notify the school community.
Pupil Free Day
As advertised in our annual school calendar, the last day in Term 2 is a pupil free day for all students. The staff will be undertaking a professional development day with Brendan Spillane on change and transformation in a school environment. School concludes for all students on Thursday 4 July.
