Pizza with the Principal Renamed: Mozzarella Meetings with Mr Martin

Yum! Yum! The Year 6 Events and Communication Ministry have re-named the lunchtime get-togethers. The conversation to find a name was both lively and creative. A number of names for the group were suggested and we had a winner with: Mozzarella Meetings with Mr Martin.

Every second week, usually on a Thursday, Mr Martin and the students have a chance to share some pizza and treats together, in the staffroom. The topic of conversation varies with the group but always includes how the students feel about their school, things they love, and ideas for improvements. Some of the suggestions from the students include lunchtime competitions, an alone bench, garden beds, upstairs water fountains and a homework club. Great work MMMM club!

Lifelink Day

All classes are in the process of making pages for the Big Book of Love and Hope. Some OLA teachers and students will attend the LifeLink Launch on Wednesday 5 June. Creating the pages has been a great opportunity for all of us to think of less fortunate people in Perth, and to remember our blessings. Completed photos of the book will be placed in the Week 7 newsletter. Here is a sneak peek of some of our work.

Games Night Number 2

With some new games and lots of new faces – we had a great time! Snacks were enjoyed by everyone following the afternoon of laughs and fun. Thanks to everyone, including Mr Martin, for joining in. Our next Games Night will be held Week 8, Thursday 20 June commencing at 3:05pm and finishing at 4:30pm. Come and join us, just drop by!
