Our Lady’s Assumption Community Fete
By now you will know that next March OLA will be holding a Community Fete, with the goal of raising money to contribute to the refurbishments of the Science Lab and the Library Hub. These projects will have a huge impact on how our kids learn and we are so excited to be working towards such an important fundraising goal! This week, each class received an email regarding their responsibilities for the successful running of the Fete. Please see below for what your child’s year groups will be organising for the event and make sure you put your hand up to get involved!
Below is a list of the stalls that the committee has assigned. Please note that the designated year group is relevant for NEXT YEAR, for example if your child is currently in YEAR 1 for 2019, then you will need to look at the stall that’s allocated for the 2020 Year 2 class, thus, this year’s Year 1 parents will be organising the YEAR 2 WHITE ELEPHANT STALL in 2020. Please see below the list of each year group:
2020 Class Stall
Kindy Chocolate Wheel
Pre-Primary Plaster Painting
Year One Lucky Dip
Year Two White Elephant Stall
Year Three Book Stall
Year Four Face Painting/Tattoos
Year Five Rave Room
Year Six Plant Sale
The P&F Committee will be running a stall from the canteen selling cakes, popcorn, fairy floss, lollies, slushies, drinks and more!
CLASS STALL PLANNERS: We require 1 or 2 parents, or a committee of parents, from each year group to volunteer in organising their year group stall. These parents will be responsible for the organising and planning of the stall, communicating with class teachers and parents, liaising with the fete committee and organising/scheduling volunteers for the running of the stall on fete day. Some of the stalls will require purchases to be made or donations to be collected. The fete committee will allocate a budget and work with the class stall planner/s to arrange this, the committee will also help you advertise for donations from the school community. If you think this is something that you would like to contribute to or would like more information on your allocated class stall please email pandf@ola.wa.edu.au
