Performing Arts Festival
The Performing Arts Festival for Catholic schools and colleges in WA has now concluded. This year marked the 30th successive year of the festival, and the number of schools and students that participated continues to grow, with some students travelling over 3,000 km to participate.
Our school entered three whole-class items, as well as a number of soloists. Our Year 1 choir captivated the audience with their songs, and they received an Award of Excellence for their performance. Year 3 also entered the class choir section, and enlivened their performance by playing percussion instruments, and also received an Award of Excellence. Our Recorder Club, comprising volunteers from Years 4 and 5 gave an admirable performance, and received an Award of Merit, while Year 5s performance of, Oliver: The Musical, also received an Award of Merit. In the solo piano section, Daniel from Year 6 received an Award of Excellence, while Isabella from Year 5 received an Award of Excellence for her violin performance.
Well done to all our students and teachers.
