P&F Executive Committee Positions Available
With 2020 drawing to a close, now is the time to put your name in the mix for P&F Committee positions in 2021. We are now looking to fill the following executive roles and would love to hear from anyone who would like to give one of them a go!
P&F President:
Not as scary as it sounds, this role brings the P&F team together at meetings (around 8 per year) and helps to drive committee initiatives and decisions. Our outgoing President, Nat Cunningham has outlined what sort of person is needed for this job:
- Someone who is community minded
- Enjoys organising fun events and activities
- Likes working in a really awesome team of P & F Members
- Happy to jump up and speak at events/assemblies etc (trust me this is the easiest part of the job and doesn’t happen very often!)
- Can chair the meetings, which are held on Tuesdays in the school staff room after the board meeting, once a month (8 times per year)
- Liaising with outside agencies when necessary
- Participating in P & F Federation (we are lucky they are based at St Peters School in Inglewood so really close by) run events where we share ideas and useful practices with other schools.
- At the AGM each year the President gives a report
If the word President is a bit overwhelming, perhaps you would prefer the role of Secretary:
The Secretary is the principal administrative officer of the P&F. They contribute significantly to the smooth running of the P&F and maintaining transparent communications within the school community. The Secretary needs enthusiasm, initiative and an ability to work closely with the President.
Responsibilities:
- Attend P&F meetings
- Write, record & distribute agenda and minutes for P&F Meetings
- Collect, review and distribute incoming mail
- Manage P&F email account and update P&F Google Drive accordingly
- Be the P&F Liaison to class reps
