Our Lady’s Assumption Community Fete
As you are aware, our school is holding a Community Fete on Sunday 22nd March 2020 to raise funds for the refurbishment of our Curiosity Lab and Veritas Library Hub. In order for us to make this event a success, we are asking for our generous school community to assist by donating any of the following items during our DONATION WEEK to be held in WEEK 7, starting Monday 25th November. Donations of the following can be dropped off at the front office:
- Egg cartons
- Disposable cups
- Small paint brushes
- Old tablecloths
- Empty tins (preferably with label already removed)
- Balloons
We are also seeking donations of the following items in good used or new condition:
- Toys & Puzzles (no pieces missing)
- DVD’s
- CD’s
- Books
- Bric a Brac
- Small Household items
If you are unable to assist with any of the above items and would still like to contribute, there will be another opportunity to donate different items early in Term 1 next year.
Sponsorship
We are offering businesses and families within the OLA community first preference to come on board as sponsors for the event. We appreciate any level of commitment. This may include monetary donations, providing prizes for our silent auction and raffles, product donation, or even setting up your own stall. In appreciation of your valuable contribution, your business may receive:
– Inclusion in marketing and advertising materials. – Social media promotion. – Logo placement on event signage – both leading up to and on the day. – Naming rights to a section or class stall. – Product endorsement

Bunning Sausage Sizzle
Thank you to the parents who put their hands up to help out at the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Sunday. These parents gave their time on a weekend to fundraise for our kids, so let’s just say they’re all Aussie Legends! Thank you to Mark Lehmann for working so hard to coordinate the entire fundraiser and thank you to the helpers Nicola and John Carbone, Nigel Swavley, Jo Di Dio, Stephen McCubbin, Amanda Reid, Jarron Turner, Kriste O’Halloran, Natalee Cunningham and Narelle Roberts.
School Book and Uniform Labels
With new school uniforms and booklists just around the corner, now is the time to do a label restock! Oz Labels is an Australian label company that gives OLA 25% of every order we make with them. So, if you’re in need of more labels, please buy them through Oz Labels. To make an order simply follow the steps below. A brochure will be sent home with the kids next week.
