Cricket Open Afternoon
At today’s assembly Callyn from the WACA came to present information on the different cricket pathways available to our students. He is offering an open afternoon on Wednesday 4 September from 3.00-4.00pm to promote cricket through a games-based approach. This open afternoon is going to be lots of fun and available to all students in Years 1-6. Please see the attached flyer regarding the afternoon. Bedford Cricket Club

Hot Shots Tennis Racquets
On Thursday 5 September, as part of the Tennis Partnership, all of our Pre-Primary children will be presented with a free ANZ Hot Shots tennis racquet and low compression ball. We will be having seven-time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, former Doubles World Number 1 and Davis Cup Championship player and captain John ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald join us for this special presentation at 9am. The giveaway forms part of the Tennis Australia and ANZ’s Racquet Roadshow which will visit up to 500 schools across Australia and giveaway more than 30,000 racquets. The presentation of racquets will include a short video, Q&A time and photo opportunities with the Aussie tennis legend. Parents are invited to attend this presentation in the Sr Goretti Hall.
Sporting Schools Athletics
Sporting Schools Athletics has started for Years 3-6 on a Thursday afternoon. We have a wonderful coach who is very experienced and is teaching the finer points for throwing, jumping and sprinting. If your child is interested in joining an Athletics Club, please see the attached flyer.
